BE A VOLUNTEER

Jnanayogashrama has been built on the sheer hard work and dedication of the volunteers and devotees. Whether it is any festival, event or a regular Pravachan, people have always come forward to offer their help services to various activities of the Ashram. Continuing in the same tradition, we encourage more such volunteers to help us in many other ways. With changing times, the types of volunteering also are constantly changing and evolving. This is also an opportunity to offer selfless service to the Guru and Ashram.

BELOW ARE THE DIFFERENT WAYS IN WHICH ONE CAN OFFER THEIR VOLUNTEERING SERVICES.

VOLUNTEERING FOR THE ASHRAM ACTIVITIES

Jnanayogashrama has Pooja, Pravachans, festivals and events throughout the year. There are ample opportunities for the volunteers to get involved in worship related activities, serving food in the dining area, working in the vegetable farms, coordinating people and work during Pravachans and many such activities.

VOLUNTEERING FOR THE DIGITAL ACTIVITIES

Jnanayoga Foundation which looks after the Pravachan content, sale of books and dissemination of content online is actively looking for volunteers to help in various ways.

  • Editing videos and audio of Pravachans - for Website, Youtube and other sites.
  • Graphic design - Designing web pages, banners for websites, facebook etc.
  • IT - Php developers, network administrators.
  • Social Media - Spreading Ashram’s teachings and building awareness through social media.

VOLUNTEERING FOR LITERARY ACTIVITIES

Work is overflowing particularly in this department! There are ample opportunities to get involved in the many literary functions of the Ashram.

  • Proofreading/Editing - For the English and Kannada publications.
  • Archives - Transcribing Siddheshwar Swamiji’s talks.
  • Publication related activities such as Proof-reading and Copy-holding
  • Translating books from Kannada to English (This would require a considerable exposure and prior knowledge in Vedanta, Yoga and similar spiritual traditions and also command in both Kannada and English)
